It appears to me, that approached in the right manner, Big Cats are far more tolerant when it comes to 'comfort zones' and how close you can get, but in this instance someone in the pride over stepped the mark.

I guess you grow to be intolerant at her age..! With some teeth chipped, stained and missing I think she's probably an old pride female..? Shame she is not separate from the other lion in the BG but a moment captured nonetheless..

Ps. You sure she's not just starting to yawn..? LOL!
Separation Brett would be good in an ideal world, but again, just have to take the moment and run with what you can get.
Dale if I did 'pat her on the head' I wouldn't be able to hold a 10mm lens, let alone the 500
I know what you mean Andy, but sadly the passenger door window was the lowest POV and without opening the door and crouching down in the footwell at my age, this would not be wise matey.
thanks guys

In these circumstances you have to take what's on offer at whatever pov and this works well for me.

HH - ready for a quick departure then Steve...lol
A lower PoV would be me only desire - but there again, a required speedy departure would perhaps not be speedy enough
