Badger
I have been back in the UK for the last week and a bit as we had a death in the family, I visited Phil Shaw yesterday and spent a very pleasant evening shooting fox and badger, Phil has certainly put a tremendous amount of effort in his site and the results speak for them self-see his new website its amazing, So a big thanks to Phil for sparing some time for me, It was a good test for my new D3s in low light shooting at ISO 6400, I have quickly processed this on my uncalibrated laptop so the colours may be a bit out, there isnt any noise reduction either-D3s very impressive

Nikon D3s with 200-400+1.4x
ISO 6400
1/250@F5.6

No too shabby DC and as you say, a good test for the D3s.

Colours don't look too off, perhaps might suggest taking the green 'blobs' out near his back.

Good to see you again, have a safe trip back.

Another amazing example of the progress in the equipment - shooting in near darkness! Actually maybe a little on the bright side?

Very impressive for ISO 6400. What a privalage to see these and the foxes together in daylight. Sorry to hear your sad news as well Dave, take care.

That badger looks a little 'camp' with his limp wrist action  but a fine shot.Agree with Ian,maybe a little bright.

You were pretty quick off the mark posting this one, Dave. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. The image looks pretty clean except for some jpg artifacting in the background areas, and although the blacks still look a little blue to me this is a definite improvement over the ISO 6400 in the D3.
