So check this out. I was coming down from Paradise Divide a little while ago, and happened on this scene. I have NO idea how this lady ended up like this, but it took two trucks and three brains to get her out. I was second on scene, but the first with a tow strap. I tried to coax her back, but just managed to pull the back end around. Then a guy (in the red SUV) had the idea of using his trailer hitch like a pulley, so we tried that way, which was working til my tow strap snapped. A third guy, who had a bunch of chains in his truck (I think he was the ghost of Christmas Past) suggested we hook one chain up front and pull one way, hook the other up at the back and pull the back end around at the same time, basically yank her back onto the road. BINGO!
Man does this seem to happen to you a lot! What are you, some kind of accident magnet? Last year, or so, it was that semi, and now this. I love how the back wheel is off the road 6". Hope she was packing Depends.
I hope these folks you rescue are plenty grateful to see the 'accident magnet'!
I'll be up in the San Juans Friday through Monday at the usual suspects. Hope if we cross each others paths, that it's under better circumstances than this!
I usually see this with snow on the road, but it just amazes me when I see this on a relatively flat, dry road.
You were nice to not just smile and drive on
Poor Todd has gone from 'Cloud Man' to 'Accident Magnet'...

Texting or perhaps applying makeup so she'd look awesome after her accident??? I always shook my head in the ER when we'd get multiple accident victims on DRY, SUNNY days! Usually way more than on snowy, nasty ones. Todd, I think by now you have enough points for your boy scout "help the incompetent" badge.
