Catching a few rays
......so having out-stared the 'one eyed tripod' and established there was no obvious danger, it was clearly time for some Marmot sunbathing on the rocks.

Same equipment as before. Cropped for presentation. The rear LH white patch is an OOF tumbling mountain stream.

Very attractive image, Mike. I don't really see how you could improve it at the image capture stage. If this were my image I think I might crop it a little tighter to remove the lighter areas at the top of the frame, and for printing, I would probably have a go at removing the prominent circle of flare to the right of the animal's head, but these are just matters of personal inclination. Nice work.

Very nice Mike, I never managed to see them doing the sunbathing routine, got to be hot work though with that coat on
Think this one is my favourite of the series.

Thanks all, yes it was a strange year this year, a very late snow melt with a lot of residual snow so the fllowers were very retarded, yet it was sweltering in the low 30s C and no hill fogs
