Summit County Wildflowers
Decided to stay around home this year rather than heading to the San Juans for wildflowers. I thought the wildflower season this year was quite good. Sunset off the Shrine Pass trail

Hi Bob,

Good set of images here. I like #1 and #2 the best. When were these Shrine Pass shots taken?

#1 is my fav. I love how the different shades of similar colors complement each other, especially the magenta and green.

Looks like some really good colors up there. Great shots Bob.

Mike- shrine pass shots were from the last few days- flowers are at peak right now!

#1 is really nice. The transition on the top edge of the mountains is a bit dark, but that is a fantastic group of flowers.

#2 is a little warm for my tastes, but its structured and lit well.

Its a good set throughout.

#1 is my favorite of what is a good set overall.
Thanks for posting these...I'm taking a day off next week to shoot some wildlfowers, but hadn't decided where to go. Looks like the Vail area is it for me.

Thanks for the info Bob! I haven't shot anything in months due to a variety of issues, but I'm finally able to get back to it. Can't wait to get out and do some shootin!!!

Very pretty, Bob--great flowers! Noone has mentioned it, so maybe its this monitor, but seems a bit contrasty and soft to me--would like to see them with a bit more clarity (especially 1&2--3 looks fine, and 4 looks like contrasty light to begin with) :wavey:

That first shot is great, although I would brighten up the mid-ground area a little. The flowers are stunning.
