ID Help
Canon Powershot Iso400 F/4.5 1/1320sec 13mm hand held
This little moth came into my garden the other day, I managed to get a couple of shots before it took off.I have looked in all my books but have no idea what it is

No idea - looks as if it fell out of my pillow. If you don't get the ID, I know a moth expert!

Update

The moth is in the family Lymantriidae - Tussock Moths. There are four
species which are basically white. I think this one is a common species
called Yellow-tail due to the white legs and the grey marks towards the end
of the wing.

Ha - so there you go then!

Try Yellow-tail Tussock, Euproctis similis , and looking at the antennae I think this is a female, nice shot by the way.

Hi it looks a bit like a Brown tail (euproctis chrysorrhoea) or yellow tail ?, but a very nice image .

I had no idea what it was either, so am glad others have identified it. Smashing shot, with bags of detail in the whites. Amazing what these compacts (I assume it is a compact?) can achieve.

I like the horse's face depicted in the markings. Excellent capture.

Bronia

An excellant capture, I must admit my first thought was I've pulled one of these out of a pillow.
