While I sit somewhat impatiently waiting for Winter to end and for my workload to level out so I can start getting out beyond the Garden of the Gods, I am taking some time to sit down and write about some of my favorite locations. Now I have four artcles or travelogues written highlighting some of my favorite spots in Colorado. I've never done this before and I am curious what everyone thinks of the writing. I'm not much of a writer as I prefer to have the images tell all the stories, so please be kind!

I especially enjoyed the piece on GoG. Adding the historical story behind the Garden adds a great deal to the experience. The descriptive prose makes a visual treat that enhances your fabulous imagery.
The other travelogues seem more straightforward, but still would make excellent tools for the explorer to this region.
I'd remove your comment about idiots and Jeeps but keep the precautions regarding the road conditions as is.
Next weekend, I'm planning to drive down to Santa Fe for the National Geographic Traveler Magazine's "travel writing seminar". There's probably more detail on the NG Traveler or Santa Fe Workshops sites. Feel free to join us, if you'd like...
Thanks Ken! I see your point, I would not want to offend any idiots in Jeep that either cannot read warning signed or just ignore them. Besides I drive a Jeep! So I tamed that down a whole lot! Thanks for the other pointers too!
I heartily agree with your editorializing, though! I once drove my Trooper down to Crystal from Schofield Pass and I'm not sure I'd want to repeat it! My heart was in my throat almost all the way down! That big boulder in the middle of the road didn't help, either. It forces you to drive way closer to the edge than prudence dictates...and it's a LOOONG way down!
