How many of you had the mirror fixed? Mine just fell off today! About 10,000 clicks.
I know it's a known issue, but I didn't bother with it b/c I don't like not having my cam-cam:D
Just curious how common this is.

We have two 5D Mark II bodies and so far have not had any issues at all.

BTW, it's a MK1 or original, not the MKII.

Mine fell off right before a reception i had to do last year, the dinosaur 20d came out of the dark ages and worked ok. Been fixed and works fine.

Kevin, it's a known issue and I'm 99% sure Canon is fixing them for free. They discovered that the glue used on the original 5D does break down, especially in high humidity.
Call 'em and see what happens!

Oh no!
I sold my original 5D to a local guy. If it happens to him, I hope he contacts me.
No problems with it ever. But who knows.
