Heavenly Blue
I spent last weekend camping above the lower Blue lake and it now ties with Ice lake as my favorite lakes in Colorado. So here are a couple of shots. Comments welcome!

#1. Tricky light, but I took it anyway due to the sheer beauty of the lake.

#2 Upper lake. What's the name of the flowers again?

#3 I almost overslept but fortunately this is just 5 minutes away from our tent.

#3 is perhaps a bit too blue, and the rocks in #9 are maybe a bit too red or magenta. But that's me trying to find something wrong. This is yet another fabulous collection of images from you!!! I really like the way you held things together under tough light conditions in #1. And #2 is off...the...HOOK! Same goes for #11. Great thinking! #4 and #5 -- I can see why you didn't budge from that spot while the sun was coming up. Wow!

Wow! Those are spectacular! When I saw the first one I thought you must be summering in the Alps. The second shot is just perfect!

That is an outstanding collection of images. So productive from one location. Are the flowers marsh marigolds? I think the rainbow colored reflection in the lake in #10 is my favorite, but these are all really excellent!

Great set of images Tien. Liked all of them.

I like 'em all too, but #'s 1, 2, 4 & 9 really rock my world!
All are outstanding compositions, especially #'s 2 & 9.

This is now my favorite lake in Colorado!

Too many images for me to really make specific comments on, but this is a magnificent collection. What a great trip!

Great job controlling the lighting in #1, and what a view! I gotta go back there and head up above the Lower Lake!

A nice collection. My favorite is #2. I like that big patch of flowers in the foreground.

Great collection- reminds me of the colors in Peyto lake, Alberta Canada. You didn't have to drive as far to capture the glacier colors.

Terrific collection of work! Think #2 is also my favorite!

Outstanding collection of well composed images. Love the wildflowers in the foregrounds.

Sweet! All of them are nice, but #5 is the3 winner for me. I also love 11, but would crop out the snowfields on the rhs. :wavey:

The high vantage worked really well for you. A great set of takes. I like #5, but would try to open the brightness, contrast and color of the grass and trees to more like what you have done in 4.

A superb set from one of my favorite locations.

I especially like the colors and reflection in #11.
Have you considered cropping a little of the right to eliminate the snow patches?
For me, they distract a bit from the wonderful lines in this semi-abstract.

Great set TC. #4 and #9 are my favorites.

Todd you are welcome to find anything wrong!
Bob: Exactly! Peyto Lake and Moraine Lake in Banff both have incredible color, but it's so cool that Ice and Blue lakes are right here in Colorado and without the crowd.
Stan, Bill, and Doug: good suggestions!

Great collection! I think #4 is my fave, though #5 is a close second. I prefer the comp of #4, with its foreground elements, as well as the nice even purplish lighting.

I also like #1, and actually like the blown out whites in the sky there - it lends to the glorious feeling of being in the mountains in Colorado!
