Stormy morning in American Basin
I spent last Wednesday night in American Basin and woke up to a steady rain. This was taken in a steady downpour early Thursday morning. The flowers were at peak. I also went by Black Bear Pass road and it was also peaking last Thursday.

Does this moody composition work?

This is really a fine composition, but it lacks a bit of 'pop'.
But, hey....that's why I'm here.
Try doing a couple of things here and see what you think:

Open your Unsharp Mask filter and use these settings-
Amount-20
Radius-50
Threshold-0

This won't sharpen the image at all, but will succeed in cutting through the 'haze'.

Quite a difference, eh?
Next increase the contrast to taste. I think that those two steps will greatly improve what you've captured here so well.

Thanks for the feedback, John. Here is a redo using your suggestions. It does seem to have more pop to it.
