Swallowtail Caterpillar
105mm f8 1/30 iso640 FF

Hi all

I've been rooting around reed beds the past couple of evenings looking for these juicy blighters. Managed to find loads which is very encouraging for the second annual hatching of the butterfly stage in late august.
Took plenty of frame fillers but think this one is my best from the shoot.

Beautiful Simon, very nice work indeed.. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to see the leaf sharp but then argued that it would detract from the subject, I often argue with myself..! .. So I like it as is and very nicely presented.. Spot on..!
