Clear Lake
Spent Wednesday and Thursday nights up at Clear Lake near Silverton. I liked the band of hanging cloud Thursday morning.

Another view from along the shoreline.

It's a shame I hate photos with low clouds in 'em so much. Otherwise I'd really think these were nice.

Actually, its not the low clouds thats the problem--its the dull gray high clouds behind them. But these are still pretty cool.

Nice, rich color in the tundra. I think just about everyone who has made the trek to Blue Lakes has gotten soaked.

Those low hanging clouds and the colors make the shots. And it looks like you were battling the same bright sky above the peaks I had this weekend. Still nice work.

I was there all day Saturday and Sunday morning. The flowers on the way there were phenomenal.
Sorry the light didn't work out for you.

Yeah the skies skunked you, but your comps look very good to me.

#2 is very nice! The skies might not be spectacular, but the grey light definitely brings out those rich greens. You could even crop the sky out if you were so inclined and the image would still be a nice intimate. But those peaks are cool too.
