Hummingbird in Flight
I've been practicing my flight shots with my 500 plus 1.4X as the hummingbirds cluster around my crocosmia. This shot had a nice painterly feel to it and a nice perspective on the hummingbird.
iso 650, 2500th sec, f7.1.

Both are great shots! I've been working the crocosmia in my area too but no such good work as this. Nice going. I agree, very painterly and excellent perspective on the bird in both shots.

These shots are excellent David. It's amazing that it takes 1/2500 of a sec to stop the wings of a hummingbird. I really like the composition/color of both photos.
