Cygnets
I was already on my way back to the car after photographing, when I noticed a family of Mute Swans. Two cygnets were sleeping on the shore and both parents proudly floated around in their vicinity. I unpacked my gear and carefully positioned it at a safe distance in order not to disturb them. The approach worked and I had a great time watching and photographing them. Mum and Dad kept a close eye on me but didn't seem to bother. At some point they were both just sleeping.
Nikon D80 @ 500 mm, iso 250, F 9, 1/800 on a tripod.

Nice "aarrgh " shot Sandra. I was just going to suggest more space on the right would help but noticed the foot on the left makes it difficult. No big deal though.

A really nice combination of detailed down and foreground mush with a great catchlight. I think its a bit tight at the top and recomposing to lose a touch of mush might have helped (assuming its full frame?).

Still got it's 'egg-tooth' and they do have the cute factor.. Small nits mentioned but nicely worked.

Lovely image Sandra, I like the main focus on the cygnet that is awake, very slight nit covered re the composition.

You can almost feel the soft downy feathering and the low pov with the mush has enhanced that feel.Lovely image Sandra.
