Any updates on the status of the harvest? This is about the time it should be getting underway but I'm wondering if the cool wet Spring has delayed things....

Mark, after talking with my Dad recently (he lives in Pomeroy), things should be picking up pretty well now in Whitman and Garfield Counties. There are some areas that are behind, so there will be likely quite a bit of harvest action throughout August and in some areas probably into September.

The best resource to call would be the WSU Extension Office in Colfax (the County Seat). They could probably tell you how things are shaping up on the Palouse. You could also probably get some info by calling the Colfax Grange Supply, they'd probably let you know. Also the Colfax Area Chamber of Commerce would probably also give you some info.
