What is it?
I was looking through my photos and came across this one taken early in the spring. Can anyone figure out what it is?

Don't have a clue but it is the best image of one I have ever seen!

This one is too easy. It is a digital photograph!

Aside from the attempt at humor, I think it is a compelling imgage, well composed and well executed. Very interesting image. Well seen.

My guess is; the remnants of a cattail. Great lighting, really abstract.

This is a shot of a wild cucumber taken on my farm last spring. They are fairly common along the Red Cedar State Trail but I haven't seen all that many on the farm. In the fall they turn brown and by spring all you see is the skeleton of the cucumber.

Thanks for the ID, Phil...I can say for certain that I wouldn't have guessed wild cucumber. Nicely executed, not incidentally.
