Immature Common Darter (title changed)
Hi all :wavey:
One from this morning, this is a yellow winged darter that I found sitting obligingly at ne of my favourite spots.
D300, 300mm f4 &1.4tc f11 @ 1/80th tripod etc.
All comments welcome
Thanks for looking

not a species I've come across Shaun - I would have ID'd this as a female Common. A well taken shot, nice and sharp throughout. I always find it slightly annoying the way darters sit like this with their wings partly covering their eyes but there's nothing you could do about that. I think I'd prefer the dragonfly slightly higher in the frame.

Hi Shaun,

nicely taken shot sharp where it counts :toast:

I agree with Matt that it is a Common Darter ( not so common this year around me )
