I just returned from a backpacking trip to Jeff Park and thought I would post the conditions.
Wildflowers - The wildflowers have started (heather, paintbrush, lupine) but are still a few weeks from peak.
Snow - the park is about 75% melted out. There are some areas with huge snow drifts (5-6 feet), but lots of dry ground as well.
Bugs - ok during the day, brutal during the evening.
I really enjoyed my trip and will share some photos soon.

Thanks for the update Scott. Which way did you head in, and was the trail in decent shape?
Looking forward to seeing some of your trip!

Bryan
I went in via the Whitewater trail. The trail was in good shape and I didn't hit snow until just outside of the park. I talked to another group of backpackers who came in via the Breitenbush trail. They said the trail was snow covered most of the way and route finding was difficult.
