Driving home today I noticed two fields of sunflowers. Not quite as good as I saw last year up this way(Longmont) but they look like there coming along nicely. There is one field on the west side of
I-25 at hwy 66 exit. 2nd is in between 66 and mead exit on the east side.

Thank you! I have been waiting to hear where the fields are at this year, much appreciated!
I concur with Kurt's observations. Both of those fields I checked out earlier today and they would be a tricky compositions (the field east of 25 there are buildings in the distance if shooting towards the mountains, and the field west of 25 is literally adjacent to the hwy, so not easy to shoot looking west).
The fields directly North of Longmont/Hover & 66 (the same ones I/we shot last year), do have crops this year too!. But, as of today they were still green, no flowers, whereas East of I-25 they seemed alot further on.

Thanks Nick for updating us, if the fields north of Hoover are again planted, that is the most ideal field since the ones at DIA disappeared...I am excited to here that they are back again this year! Thanks!

I found 2 more fields today one is pretty darn big compared to the first 2 I spoke about.
The other is not as big but look in better shape. The bigger one is off I 25 at the Berthoud exit, go west like your going into Berthoud and it's on the left (south side) approx 3miles from I 25. The really nice but not as big is also off the Berthoud exit but in order to get to it you have to go north on the frontage road on the east side of I 25 approx a mile? and take a Right on I think RD 46 it's a dirt road and it's the first road you come to where you can take a left and go under the hwy or a right on 46 and go a 1/4mile at most and you will see it on the right side. I'm not sure which farm owns that field but I'm going to knock on some doors tomorrow after I get off work. This field is only 3 miles from my house in Johnstown
