Here's a shot from this morning up below (up below? wut?) Hermit Pass. Spent the night on the pass, awoke to steady rain and was totally engulfed in clouds, so I dropped down underneath the cloud deck to some tarns and shot sunrise, what little there was, from there. On the way down, the fog from below kept trying to push its way higher and higher into the basin.
I know the fog is a little hot, but I didn't really think I needed to try to invent any detail in the brightest whites of a low cloud, so I didn't bother combining another exposure just for the brightest whites.
I can see Dave's point but the hot cloud didn't bother me as much at first glance. I noticed it more after reading the comments. That might just be me not knowing anything to begin with...
Cool! Id darken it a 1/2 stop. BTW--i just bought a new bubble level to replace the prior two that i lost (of course then i promptly lost part of my ballhead)

Is this the only shot from your trip?
