It is with a great deal of pleasure that I get to announce that Pat Sampson has joined me as moderator on the finest Flora gallery on the planet. After being the lone ranger for over three years I thought the time had come to get some fresh insights into the position so I approached Pat who was most gracious in accepting. Pat was the 2009 Flora EPA winner and his body of work in Flora, Avian, Fauna, ES&S, and Photo Art is most impressive. His processing skills are way beyond mine and his expertise there will be even more of a resource than it is already. His mastery of indoor lighting and image stacking is top notch and his critiques are always insightful and constructive. The best deal for me is that as a member of the staff I don't have to consider his images for weekly picks anymore Please join me in welcoming Pat and thanking him for his service at NPN in the past and for taking on the responsibilities of moderator.
Ah Ha... don't have to compete against you any more!!!!! Seriously, I love competition and you are one of the best floral photographers on this site. Will miss that aspect, but will gladly consider your comments whenever posted. Congratulations on the moderator position and I'm sure Bill will enjoy the help. This forum has grown under Bill's guidance and we have many very talented photographers posting each week. I don't envy picking the winner... good luck!
