I see Arthur Morris has written a guide to the Canon 7D and wanted to know if anyone has it and what they thought of it. Is it any better the Magic Lantern Guide or the Digital Field Guide?
I purchased Art Morris's 7D guide and found it to be helpful. The other guides are generic but his is tailored towards avian photography. With such guides even if I am able to pick 3 or 4 things out of them they are worth the money. If you shoot birds Art's guide is a must have.
I have seen the guides by Mr. Morris. I have found the Magic Lantern guides the most useful guides bar none over the years and the one for the 7D is no exception. Magic Lantern is loaded with much more information, provided without bias or opinion...simply how the camera works. Various other guides I've seen in bookstores spend as much or more time on general photographic principles as they do on the camera. Magic Lantern is totally about the camera and how to use it. For $20 you can't beat it. JR
