Roe deer buck
Wonderful animals and I love them in heather. Unfortunatly the heather isn't purple yet but with some rain and sunshine it will be in a week or so.

Iso 400 1/200 sec. f/5.6

Is loving deer in heather legal over there then? :eek: :eek: :biggrin:

Nice image - the alert pose works well but as you imply, heather in flower would add the finishing touch.

Magnificent looking animal. I wish I had the same problem, i.e. deer but no heather. It's the other way round for me, stunning heather but no deer :frown:
I'll look forward to seeing some more from the series as the season progresses. :cool:

It is rutting season for the succession in the Netherlands and gain more visibility than normal.
This is very nice between the heather.
