New to the board, was recommended by a fellow photographer. Here is a photo I took last elk rut in Boxley Valley in Arkansas. Just a post to say hi, so hi, :D

Thanks Larry and Angela. I'm using a 40D with a 100-400 on that photo. Specs are 1/60, F7.1, ISO 500. Handheld at 400mm. Yes, I said 1/60, :)

Welcome Andy. Great sharpness for a 1/60 handhold.

Welcome Andy! Great image to start with for sure! We always like to see some EXIF info and maybe a short story on how you got the image. I've seen most of your work on the Capture Arkansas contest and I know that everyone here will love your images. Welcome! :toast:

Thanks Mike. And thanks for suggesting the site. Not much story to this one. Set out on one of my Boxley trips early in the morning, and was lucky enough to get a lot of great shots that day. Time is near for more elk fun, :D
