Here's a day in the life of Cloudman.

#1: San Juan sunrise.
Posted by Todd Caudle on August 2, 2010 at 12:47 AM
#2: Vestal and Arrow Peaks are wearing cloud bonnets. How cute!

#3: Dancing marmot is dancing. One thing I noticed after the fact is how the lighter rock was providing some bounce light to this little fella's shaded side. Very helpful!

#4: West Needle Mountains pano. This is a sub-range of the San Juans, separate from the nearby Needle Mountains and Grenadier Range. The peaks are Snowdon Peak on the left and the Twilight Peaks massif on the right.

#5a: Here's one from the now-I've-seen-it-all department. See the elk?
Posted by Todd Caudle on August 2, 2010 at 12:51 AM
#5b: How 'bout now? This is a 1/5th-second exposure, so there's some movement.

#6: Here's another pano, this time it's the Trinity Peaks in the Grenadier Range. This is a simple crop from a single frame, whereas the West Needles pano was a five-shot stitch.

#7: After leaving the San Juans, I headed towards the Sangre de Cristos. En route, I encountered a beautiful storm, so I stopped in the northern Wet Mountain Valley to shoot it. If only I could've gotten some shots with lightning bolts, because it was firing them off left and rght.

Todd, love the dramatic clouds in the last one...the second one reminds me of my ex-girlfriend  The light, colors and comp in these are terrific!

#8: ZAP!
Posted by Todd Caudle on August 2, 2010 at 1:00 AM
#9: BANG!

#10: POW!

#11: Then it was on to Hermit Pass. There were some flowers along the way high above treeline. Not many, but enough for some fun.
Posted by Todd Caudle on August 2, 2010 at 1:02 AM
#12: There was a well-contained bunch of yellow paintbrush right on the pass as well.

The last one beats everything, and consider that I have WOW for all of your other images!

Great images! Really like the lightning images. Great light and color in the first image as well!

#10 POW- NIce with the wispy rain, contrasty clouds and colorful grass field.
The sidelit red and green mound really stands out in #2 against the more jagged Vestal and Arrow.
Saturday was another good day for you.

I think I'm going to have just sell all my camera gear, and buy your next book! It would save me a bunch of money and I'd have a lot more time to work around the house and get done all the things I've neglected over the years.
You've had an awesome summer season!

Your next calendar needs to have about 50 months in it.

1 and 10 are my faves.

Zap, Bang, Pow. Cloudman turns Batman?

WOW! You take advantage of every pixel a day gives you! Those lightning shots are awesome!

All of them are great - but the lightning shots and the dancing marmot are amazing.

OH, MOMMY! Man, I really like #1, no.. #2...no #3....no #4.....no #5... well, you get the idea. What an incredible series of photographs! There is too much here! Too much! I can't take this much sensory overload! Stop, please......................................uhhhh.

That's a pretty good day's work! I especially like 5, 10, & 11.

You sure do get around, don't you?
Very impressive body of work here! #11 may be the best flower image I've seen yet this year.
'Losing' the yellow flower in the top left corner would do a lot for the continuity and overall pattern, though.

Wow, what a day! I am eternally in awe of your ability to locate and capture clouds, usinag them seemingly at your whim. The flower shot is really nice, as John mentioned.

Well, a killer set--which i expect from you  Theyre all great--except #1 which has a funky sky.

I'm glad I don't pay your mileage, buddy! Love that last pano and the non-night lightning. I'd love to see where you shot the grenadiers from. That's one range I'm not too familiar with.
