I'll just see if that idiot dressed as a bush is still there....

These juvenile GSWs seem to be everywhere at the moment. I've got lots of shots of them in conventional GSW poses but here's something a bit different.
As ever, c&c most welcome

Works well with the eye contact Jeff. If this had been an older bird or a female then I don't think this would have had the same impact as the splash of red wouldn't have been so obvious.
I like this as it is different from the norm - unfortunately, a lot of woody shots end up looking like the bird has been stuck to a tree and are almost too perfect - this just teases the viewer which is why it stands out for me

Thanks for all the kind words folks - much appreciated
It is indeed that splash of red against the green background that gives this rather quirky and amusing image its vibrancy. Glad you like it and thanks again.

Nice one Jeff. I really like the pose and the idea behind the shot, but the cut-off stump spoils it a bit for me not because it is there, but because of where it sits in the image. It is right where you are looking and detracts from the bird imo. eric

Thanks for your comments Andrew & Eric Of course Eric if the cut-off stump wasn't where it is you would actually see more of the bird (you can just see a little of the bird's black feathering below it), which would rather spoil the whole peek-a-boo effect of the image

If I was to be very picky I would say the cut stump of the branch is not ideal, but otherwise I like this.

As you say something unusual and the splash of red definately makes it.
