Yet another Water Vole + Edit
One from another site where the habitat is a bit different. They are a bit less tolerant to having a large lens pointed at them

the peeping through the reeds look is quite effective Ian. The diagonal pale reed is a bit unfortunate and it would have been nice to see both eyes but that's the way it goes. A nice shot all the same.

Very nice Ian, and you can never see to many images of voles.

Phil.

the way he is peeping through is lovely, they always make me laugh with their teeth, the light stem is a little distracting but still a good image

It's a nice capture Ian, small nit covered.

This is really nice, and the diagonals dont bother me at all - but I'd certainly be tempted to crop that top lighter one off completely to leave the other two lower diagonals to create a sort-of laid back 7. That would place voley in the angle of the 7 and give a nice natural frame (well it does to my eyes!).

I like these kind of shots. They give a really spontaneous feel to an image and as long as the eye is sharp which this is they work very well for me. John's suggestion about a crop is spot on too and I think it would definitely lift this shot even higher.

Very nice "peek-a-boo" shot. I think John's cropping suggestion would be a really good idea. :wavey:
