Northern lights question

hey everybody,
so I just read that this solar storm that is currently hitting earth could bring us some Northern lights in the next few days, I read that they got some incredible shots in Michigan and they did from the photos over the great lakes, and this should be a prime time at night so if your up for it go check them out Thurday is supposed to be the best time. should see them possibly in washington state and higher.
just thought I would let everyone know,
peace out

So did anyone get out and see them?

So did anyone get out and see them?

I went out to watch for them, but there was nothing. I don't know why.
sorry about that.

I didnt see anything..........and I stayed up real late.............

I looked that night and didn't see anything either. I was in Portland and there is so much ambient light that I'm not sure it would be visible anyway.
