Monsoon Sunset
Went up to Ute Pass last nite for sunset and a monsoon storm was rolling in so I decided to pack it in rather than wait it out. I said no way were we to get a good sunset. Was I wrong! Got home and looked West and could not believe what I saw. Looked like the Heavens were opening up. Did not have the comp I wanted from my house but definitely captured some amazing color. Hope someone on the forum was prepared and captured this sunset.

Wouldn't that be a monset? Or monsunset? Maybe monsoonset? Yeah, that works. This weather is creating some of the best big cloud action I've seen in ages. If it clears enough for you to see them, that is. I was above CB last night and shot the most incredibly colorful, towering clouds I've seen in years. Looks like you had similar light around your place, Bob.

Great shot Bob. Love the color.

Pretty intense all right, but I think you should dial back the saturation just a bit.

John- very little processing- WB 4850 as shot, no saturation adj., a little clarity boost and that is it.

The color and light in the clouds is very dramatic!

Very nice color in those clouds. Live and learn on not staying at your planned location until the sun had set. :frown:

Gorgeous! I might warm it up slightly or just pull back the blues a bit--but its pretty close.

A little intense but I like it.
