I'm always lurking on this Forum to gain useful info for my photo trips. (I'm a lowlander, but my heart belongs in the mountains!) Anyways, this year I'll be going on my first Fall trip to the Tetons. I seem to remember reading here at some point that one of the forum members was preparing a digital Fall guide to the Tetons, but I can't remember who that was and I can't seem to find it. Is this all in my imagination or does someone else remember this as well. Thanks for your help.

I remember the conversation, but can't remember who was working on it. In the meantime, have you tried any of the book versions for Tetons photogaphy? Try Photographer's Guide to Yellowstone and the Tetons by Joseph Lange was helpful when i went in 2008.

You should also check out the PhotographAmerica.com guides. well worth the $8.

Jason Hatfield showed me this map: http://www.boredfeet.com/mappages/map9780915749256.php

It has great pictures with the actual shooting locations, time of day to shoot, settings and lens recommendations and driving/hiking instructions. Well worth the 6 bucks!! You can order it online.

The guide Jack linked to is amazing, I wish all national parks had guides like it!

It was Bret Edge. It's not out yet but you can find info on it here http://ifotoguide.com/?page_id=64

I wish we could launch iFotoGuide: Grand Teton before autumn but unfortunately, we've run out of time. The guide Jack linked to is quite good and you won't have any trouble finding great autumn locations using the guide and just looking for aspens while you're there.

Here's three great spots for aspens:

- Granite Canyon trailhead area
- Shadow Mountain
- Along the John D. Rockefeller Highway between Tetons and Yellowstone

Hope this helps!

Thanks for all of your responses. I already have the 2 guides that Amy mentioned, but did not know about the guide that Jack mentioned. That one sounds great and I've already placed my order. I guess I'll have to use Bret's iPhone guide the next time.
