I found this quiet spot amid a profusion of corn lilies and lupine in a small meadow near Sonora Pass.

This was an 8-second exposure; glad it wasn't windy!

Preston,
So that's what you were doing that morning! Was wondering what you had captured. This looks great. I love the density of all the lupine bushes and emerging flowers. The open bottom with the creek and rocks really makes for a strong composition too.
Well done, a Sonora Pass meadow classic. I love that meadow.
Preston this is an extremely unusual capture here, most people would pass on the lupines not quite fully in bloom, but I have always found the structure of the lupine leaves fascinating. The separate petals in the fan shape unique. Here they abound in profusion without the distraction of their colorful blooms ( and I'm not being a smart alec here either I'm sincere). Rich and lush. Well seen and well done.
Reno, I'll have to look at the tranny again, but I don't think there is much detail in that deep shadow area. If there is, I don't think my scanner would resolve it without lots of noise.

I beg your pardon? I don't think I get that one.

I remember that meadow from a few years back. Very pleasing image. I like how you framed the little creek, bottom frame. Best Regards.
