Cool
I don't recall a summer that has been this humid. The temperatures are normal but the humidity has been the killer. I've been looking through some of my winter photos trying to keep cool. This was taken several years ago at the Apostle Islands Ice Caves but I never got around to processing it until a few weeks ago.

Hey thanks Phil. Just got throught with a blaksmithing demo this weekend and I needed some cool thoughts. Like the color and the texture of the ice. Just met a fellow in TX couple weeks ago who had worked there in years past,

Given today's heat index, which is supposed to top 100 in NE Illinois, this is very refreshing. Thanks for posting.

Quite cool, lots of neat lines and textures there. One day last week the heat index was 122 here in So IL!

Phil - very interesting patterns, which evoked several interpretations while I looked at. Nice job, and yes it will be nice when it cools a bit.

A refreshing change, Phil. After this hot summer, this ice scene is most welcome!

I really like these sorts of images, and this one is exceptional. It reminds me of a Japanese abstract landscape painting. I love the cool color palette here and all the details and textures that keep your eye moving throughout the frame. Well seen!

I'm also looking forward to cooler weather and doing some field work without dripping sweat all over my camera!
