The Front Range from Mosquito Gulch
This photo was taken before sunrise from Mosquito Gulch looking back at Pike's Peak on July 17th during a week I spent chasing wildflowers. The first part of the week was spent near my cabin in Warm Springs Ranch near Fairplay. Some of the places visited were, Mosquito Pass, Boreas Pass, Mohawk Lake and McCullough Gulch.

The second part of the week was spent in the San Juans at American Basin, Maggie Gulch, and Black Bear Pass Road.

It was a great week and I owe a great deal of thanks for all the information that I gathered from this forum.

Here is a link to my gallery if you would like to take a look and any feedback would be appreciated:

This shot was taken looking the opposite direction at Oliver Twist Lake a short while later.

Looks like a VERY productive trip, Tom. Your flower intimates are really sweet and the waterfall shots are excellent.

What a wonderful collection!
A productive trip indeed. I too like the close up images of the flowers and the first image you posted here. Way to go, Tom! :toast:

Great collection, T! I agree the flower closeups take the prize. That last shot, 234--is probably my fav tho--very unique!

Thanks all for the kind comments. Joe, the last shot was taken from the the overlook on the west side of Wolf Creek Pass. I walked to the far end of the overlook to the cliff area beyond the safety fences. It is still pretty safe, just not were you would want to kids to play.

A fine collection to be sure. Especially the flower portraits.
