Thanks for the warm welcome and all the great advice on my 1st post.
I thought I would post this other shot from Clear Lake before you all get sick of looking at the same place.
I have to admit that the original TIFF looks a lot better full size on my screen as these smaller pics really lose detail. You can't even see the bummble-bee in this little shot
I would post the last shot I have of Clear Lake in this same thread but I can't figure out how to post more than one photo at a time. I assume I have to become a full fledged member first. So until then I thought I would just link to my web page if anybody cared enough to look over there. I am still fairly new to this hobby....so many of the shots are what you all would probably call "old standards".
Thanks again and any CC is more than welcome from such an experienced group of folks !

This is an excellent photo IMO Bill. Especially for the time of day.
Maybe could use a tad more sharpening but not much. Most of the landscape seems to be under overcast light but the sky in the shot has some nice blue sky showing through.
Very nice!

Um Bill, if you are fairly new to this, I can't wait to see what your images will look like when you are an old hand. I looked at your link and would KILL to have even one in my portfolio! They are breath-taking especially the columbines at Clear Lake shot. The image you posted here is equally stunning...I wouldn't change a thing except for a little more sharpening. Posting at the 720 size can cause havoc with detailed shots. You can post larger images of 1200 on the long side and 500kb...I could do this when I was a member but not sure if non-members can.

Bill, you indeed stole some nicely composed images from Clear Lake. The fox scurried past my camp on early pre-dawn morning. Nice addition to the shot and glad you got to photo him.

The comp and elements are very pleasing here. Your linked collection is even better!

Great detail! Love the flowers in the foreground.

Really nice work on the extreme foreground comps here and in your linked gallery. My favorite is #6 of the columbines... awesome!!! #9 is great as well.
