Without looking it up on the Internets, can anybody tell me who did a song by that name? I'll make it real easy for you:
a. Irish guitarist
b. One-time member of Thin Lizzy
c. Toured with Rush in 1984, but didn't play Colorado
d. Huge success as a solo act, charting with such songs as "Empty Rooms"
#1: This photo is the result of an unsuccessful attempt to chase down a storm in the Wet Mountains. Ended up spending almost an hour shooting these flowers sprouting among some surprisingly fresh corn lily plants instead. To paraphrase Dewitt Jones, if you go out to shoot lightning one day, but Mother Nature's doing flowers that day, then you'd better do flowers!

#3: Ended up chasing rainbow potential instead. As I headed north past Florence, there was a massive curtain of rain just west of Cañon City. If I had been over there, I'm convinced I would've seen the mother of all rainbows, as the sun was intense as it shined through the wall of rain. Knowing I couldn't make it over there in time, I headed up the Phantom Canyon road, hoping that the rain would continue east and overtake my position, thereby bringing a rainbow to me. Stationed below these cliffs, I was rewarded with a pretty good one, and a barely visible second one.

The only member of Thin Lizzy that I can even remember was Phil Lynott.
I like every one of these images. Good job of chasing that rainbow!
Someday I assume there'll be an 'app' that will predict optimum rainbow locations in real time.

"Another flower shot" isn't just another flower shot. Great juxtaposition of focus. Fun image.
That is one cool looking bee! The rainbow is glorious in it's brightness and color. I also really like the flowers shots. Like Jesse said, #2 is not just another flower shot.

Sorry to disappoint you Todd, but I didn't have to look it up. I have Gary's 1985 LP Run for Cover, that has the song Empty Rooms, somewhere in my vinyl collection.
