Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well, sorry I have not posted for a while! It's silly season at work at the moment, but I'm fed up with it, so I'm trying to do more photography!

Been wanting to photograph reptiles this year, so set out to find some lizards last weekend. Really pleased to find some, they are fascinating creatures.

Was struggling a bit with the viewpoint as there was lots of vegetation in the way, so I decided just to go with it and line up the lizard's head with a gap in the vegetation.

C and C most welcome!

Thanks for looking! :wavey:

Hi Dawn good to see the whole lizard, my eye was drawn straight to the head . Very sharp eye contact with good detail, I dont mind the vegetation it puts emphasis on the head.Well captured.

Sharp where it matters Dawn and good to see the whole subject, even through the vegetation.

I'd be happy with this Dawn, I normally see them like this and very rarely come away with anything as good.

Excellent focus on the eye. I wish they were in my garden.

Agree with the rest Dawn about seeing the whole lizard. Sharp where it matters. Well captured. I have been looking for lizards for a quite a while now and cannot find any basking (probably not been warm enough in Derbyshire) :frown:

Many thanks everyone for your kind comments! Hopefully I'll get the chance to go back and try for some more shots, it was really great to watch them.

Maggie - I never saw any lizards when I lived in Derbyshire, but then, I didn't visit many places, but I really wish I had now! Anyway, had a bit of a google and found this: http://www.derbyshirearg.co.uk/ and thought you might be interested! :wavey:
