Heavenly Valley
This was the highlight of my visit to the Alpine Loop last week, a sunset near the high reaches of Picayne Gulch - a lesser visited area, but plenty of opportunities for great views with a little walking.

Just had to share the magical moment. It was good seeing some of you!

5d2 + 24mm ts-e (two shifted exposures stitched)

You hit this one just right Jesse. Beautiful job. Looks like you did good on your trip, just makes me sad I couldn't go with you. Hope the feet are holding up okay.

Can't blame you at all for stopping work on any other images you took during this trip.
This is simply the finest wildflower image I've seen this year!

You're killing me, buddy. I've got so much to process but I know I have NOTHING like this. Great job! Congrats. :jump:

Very contemplative image, it gives me the feeling that if I was there I could easily sit down and absorb it until the sun went down.

Don, exactly. One of the more memorable contemplative moments in nature I've had in recent years. The view was like this in every direction - for the better part of an hour. The glow was surreal. I just sat there on the tundra in awe ... pressing my cable release button every now and then. It was so mind-numbingly beautiful that I didn't even dial in the distant focus perfectly, but I really don't care. I was completely lost in the moment.

Thanks for commenting everyone!
