Just before sunrise at the Whitegoat Lakes, Kootenay Plains, just northeast of the Saskatchewan Crossing of Banff National Park, Alberta. Taken with Canon G11
Nice image and location Howard, I wish I was there right now!

Very nice capture and well balanced comp, Howard. You might want to clean up the foreground river bank of those white branches, either by cloning them or selectively darkening them. They keeping dragging my eye back to them despite the beautiful colors in the sky and reflection.

Great shot and comp, but there's something about those mountains that looks weird to me. Might be the color cast.

Brian's concerns echo mine. Something doesn't seem right, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
Huh--color looks fine to me. Might like to see a bit more of the rhs, but overall this is a sweet shot!

Uh, Stan, what means "rhs?"
Don, thanks for the suggestion about the white branches.
Brain, John, & Jason ... the blueish color cast of the mountains was there in the original image. I suppose I could apply some color correction to turn it grey, but considering how darn cold it was when I took the shot (nearly freezing) the color didn't seem "off" to me.
I like the comp and the semi-pano format. I also like the cold/warm contrast, with maybe a touch less blueish cast in the mountains. Just a small adjustment there, but really it's an excellent image.
