Female Kestrel
Spotted this female while out and about yesterday, looking rather relaxed and sleepy, managed a few shots before she spotted me, and also got some when she was more alert.Wire was moving all the time it was very windy, amazed I managed anything.Wish the tail had been the other side of the wire but can t have everthing I suppose.

Canon 1DMK4, Canon 500f4 + 1.4 convertor, ISO 400, f6.3, 1/800

Wonderful image, Karen. A great POV, against a perfect BG. Brilliantly captured.

Hi Karen,

A good quality image and nicely processed too. I really like the pose with the tail 'fanned' apart like it is.

Superb detail throughout the bird, from the fanned out feathers, the eye,the feet and I even like the wire.Maybe take a little off the left but it's really nice 'as is'.
