Dick Emery impersonation
One from Sunday. This little beauty posed for ages giving me full face, side face whatever. The only obliging Common Darter I have come across this year. There are far fewer about this year and most are extremely skittish. I have some technically better shots but I just loved the expression on this one.

Not sure about the Dick Emery expression - I am not that old - but a good image nonetheless.

He was also famous for saying Dad, I think I got it wrong again when appearing as Gaylord one of his many characters. I can't quite see the connection with DE, :eek: but still a very agreeable image indeed, Maggie. :smile: :wink:

Good work Maggie, you show this particular wing posing they make very good.
Yesterday I was out for macro shots and I have found some of them also.

I like this one Maggie, the darter is isolated against that great BG very well, like the comp too.

Thanks all. I now feel totally ancient - although some people are telling porkies - Mr McDermott :biggrin:
Bertl and Jorne can obviously be excused :smile:
This reminded me of Dick Emmery doing the Vicar sketch where he had a mouthful of really awful dentures.

I used to love watching The Dick Emery Show, I especially liked the character with the spikey hair and dungarees.
