Hello all, haven't been active on here for a while due to photography taking a bit of a backseat to life!
Going back a few months with this one. Taken one afternoon back in June with fellow member Colin Pickett, on the hunt for Reed Warblers. There were a lot of rabbits about but they were very skittish. I spent ages trying to crawl in to position with my 600mm and Gitzo. I basically made my way towards the brow of a small hill that they were on the over side of then waited, tucked in to a bush for them to come over the hill. This was they closest one came, and was my third shot (and only decent one) out of about 40 or so over the space of half an hour.
Fairly simple shot, and the last time I did any wildlife photography - it's been too long!!! Oh and you'll either love or hate the mush
D300, 600mm + 1.4x TC, 1/400, f8, ISO 800 (and about 25% cropped from all sides)

Enjoyed your review of the ThinkTank hydrophobia 300 - 600 rain cover on your blog.
Andy...
I like the graduated saturation effect that the foreground and background greens have produced and the effective use of mush.
Cheers
Austin
