Bill and Tom inspired me with there CO pics.
Here are a few of my Colorado captures from about 10 days ago. I spent a few days in the Crested Butte area and a couple more in Aspen at the Bells.
Monsoon season in Colorado is very photogenic but you never know if your going to get a picture or totally rained out.
All were taken with my medium format camera. P1 65+, Cambo RS, 35 or 75 mm lens. The panos are all stitches of 2-6 captures.
I hope you enjoy and please let me know what you think.

All of the Maroon Bells looks were from one incredible morning where I had shootable light for almost 4 hours.

Last one from the Bells. The flowers were a little past peak but still shootable.

Turned around at the same spot and shot this one.

One from the Ohio Pass road near Crested Butte.

Finally a really cool spot called Gunsight Pass. Shows off the monsoon skies.
In this image you can see the Oh Be Joyful creek valley, Paradise Basin/divide, backside of the Maroon Bells, Purple Mountain, and the cool looking mountain with the nice light is Gothic Mountain.
My good friend Todd Caudle who is an encyclopedia on all things Colorado can probably name another six peaks and valleys.
This is a 6 shot stitch using a schneider 72mm lens. 10' wide at 300dpi should make for a nice print.

Even at these small Web sizes, these are great captures of some seriously awesome scenes. At least I can begin to imagine what they would look like at 10' wide.

Ed, all are wonderful shots, my favorite is number 1. I have been there many times and it may be an icon but I really like your pano perspective and the monsoon clouds in the BG. I can tell you have been hanging around with the "cloudman!"

Wonderful Ed, I love the vertical panos. I've been told these are very popular for their uniqueness. When printed large they really grab attention.
These are beautiful, Ed! I don't think there's ever a "bad" time to be in Colorado. Even with the unpredictable monsoon weather, there is always something worth photographing...just monitor and adjust.

I was fortunate to be at the bells on a good day. I have been there three times before and just didn't get conditions. Either the sky was totally clear or the trees were past so I was totally pumped as the morning progressed.
Thanks for the compliments guys. I will hang the first one and one of the vertical panos when the gallery opens for sure so maybe you can stop by and see it. (Getting close, down to flooring, paint and lights.)

I never tire of going to Maroon Bells.....just does your soul good to see such perfection. All your images are great, Ed, however, the last one with the flowers is my favorite. A seldom seem perspective.... Joe Rogers

I like the 6th one down. Something about those clouds/fog. I also get to spend time with the cloudman this week! Yippee!

I'm with Dottie on this one, that sixth shot, which I don't think you posted over on our forum, is really nice. And I get to go shooting with Dottie this week! Yippee! (I promise not to scare her too much with my mountain driving...)
