I worked up in Frisco yesterday, and as I was headed out of town, a large patch of fireweed right off of the road caught my eye. So, I turned around and spent some time working the scene. These are some of the ones I grabbed while there.

I like #4 & #5 the best because I prefer the blooms isolated against a shallow DOF. Nice details especially in the last one.

Love the grass motion or appearance thereof in that second one!

Nice series! Shouldn't you have been at work rather than working the scene?
I too prefer the closeups as the scenery in the wider views isn't that great, IMO. Those are some gorgeous flowers, and they're highlighted so well in the closeups.
Jack's right about that grass in #2, though. Consider cropping down to highlight those almost sensuous grasses and the flowers.
You know what they say...'less is more'.

#3 thru #5 are outstanding! For #2, lop off the top half and call it a day. Great stuff, Morris.

#5 is nicest and like how the flowers form an arch.
In #4, the pink petals almost get lost against the pink background. Maybe a slight reposition to put the single plant's flowere cluster against a darker spot in the background?
Glad you were late to work.

Sometimes work has to take a backseat to more important things!! A very nice series...I'm find myself preferring the last two as well.

Really like 3 and 4 are my favorites. 5 is close behind.
