Sunflowers-Take two
Well, I got up at 3:30 Thursday morning and drove back to the Longmont sunflower field for sunrise to see if I could improve on what I shot last Monday. The weather didn't cooperate very well, but I am more pleased with the results after learning from my mistakes the first time. These were all adjusted from one raw file with no bracketing this time.

The field horizon is tilted, but that's the way it really is out there...

I liked some of the closeups that I saw the other day, so I did some of my own.

And another semi-closeup... I liked having the unopened sunflower near the mature one in this shot. Any opinions?

I think the close-ups are the picks of the litter, Jim.

These seem much better to me than the first set. I too like the close-ups. Maybe warm the WB in the first?

Very nice, Jim. Agree that close-ups are #1 picks.

The close-ups work for me too, Jim. Nice meeting you by the way!

Ditto on the close-ups. I like the comps and the dof. Very nice.
