Stoat
Stoat, one from a couple of years ago.

Processed in DPP / CS2 ( Slight crop )

I'll try and dig out the techs when I find the RAW file.

All comments most welcome and thanks for looking.

That is a wonderful picture, Andy. I do wonder if it needs a slight clockwise rotation, but still a shot I would give my eye teeth for.

lovely image Andy love to see your stoat shots, got a few of these myself took on cloudy day and can t make up my mind on the colour are they white or more creamy, yours look very white but mine not so white do they vary in colour?

Hi Andy,

lovely shot nice and sharp where it needs to be and exposure spot on. :toast:

Cheers guys, pleased you like it

Hi Karen, lighting conditions can play a big part on how the white / cream fur looks, it was quite a bright day when I took this shot and exposure was tricky at times and as you can see the fur looks white, on a cloudy day the fur will not look as bright. Colour can vary in stoats, some have white paws like this one and others don't. I suppose it's down to genetics.

Thanks for the very nice comments :toast:

Do you know what Geoff, I've never seen a Stoat or a Weasel come to that, that didn't look in perfect condition, just goes to show how successful these little mammals are.

Yep good pose Andy, nice and alert. BG is a tad busy, did you blur it or is that NR applied? Just curious.

Steve :wavey:

Hi Steve,

No blurring applied, just ( Levels, Contrast, Sats, Shadow-Highlight, NR, Resize and Sharpen ) I leave the blurring to the PS pro's

Many thanks for all the comments, cheers :toast:

Fabulous pose and interaction in this shot for me, Andy. Think you may have shown me this once in a car park in Lincs a few years back  ?

Loved it then and love it now :toast:

Eh up Marcus,

Not this particular image, but some similar one's and a few Weasel's. That was the first time we met I think, Saltfleet for the Desert Wheatear, a good day and a cracking little bird.

Nearly missed this Andy, glad I didn't as its a cracking image of a very 'quick' animal so you bagged a great opportunity here.
