Spooked Herd
My brother and I were on a gravel road just east of Condon and found a pretty cool old house that was abandoned. When we started to aim our cameras, a bunch of white tailed dear took of running. We were about a hundred yards from the house when they took off. They stopped when they figured they were out of shooting range and just stared at us with their ears pointed straight in the air. I thought I would just post this to do a little "show and tell". It was actually cool too see in real life.

Erik,
Your right, it is a just a snapshot. I think those ears are so cute. It would be nice if it was a little closer so we could see their faces.. What lens did you use?

Thanks for the comment Erik, I used my 80-200 2.8 nikon af at 200mm. I too wish I could have zoomed closer. I think a 300mm is the next lens on my list.

Hi Erik,
That gave me a hearty laugh. Good post and comments. You're right about the deer and their ears being pronounced in this shot, they are cute.
