Can anybody help me, I catalogue my images in lightroom and store them on removable drives, my computer has decided to rename one of my hard drives, don't ask me whyI don't know, and will not me rename it back t the original. Therefore lightroom will not find the images, and there are thousands off them, is there anyway I can cure this without reimporting them all because if do that it will take me hours and I will, more importantly, lose all the adjustments I have made to the images.

Does anybody out there have a solution.
Thanks

Right click on the folder in Lightroom (which will be marked with a question mark) then click on "Update Location" and point it to the new location.

Done.

Thanks Duncan have tried that but lightroom insist the folder is already in lightroom even though it refuses to connect to the images in it. Shaun

Shaun
Has windows XP ?
(I presume)
Re named one of your removable(external) drives or your system drive (which I doubt)
With some fiddling around in control panel disk management you should be able to get your disk back to its original volume label.
Be careful though !

Good luck! It's things like this that make me hold off switching to software that builds it's own lirbary for your images :frown:

If you put this on Adobe forums or the Luminous Landscapes Lightroom forum, I would be surprised if you did not get the right answer.
