A few from Colorado
It's been a while since I last posted anything, so here's a few from Colorado from a trip there a couple weeks back. It sure was tough coming back to 100+ heat and humidity here in Arkansas after seeing highs in the 70s for a week.

This is South Clear Creek Falls.

Got to watch the Perseids at 9000 feet with clear skies, this is the only one i was able to capture though.

What a great trip! I really like the Perseids shot. Karla and I tried but failed that night. We were up around Forked Mtn and seemed to capture more airplanes than Persieds. But we did see a bunch. Your skies are so clear!! So, welcome back to the humidity.

Looks like you had a great trip John. I like the guy looking over the heard the best.

wow...nice set! love the clarity and everything else about the first but i wonder if it needs some CW rotation?

Nice series, Jon. I really like that first one. It's always exciting to watch a heavy rainstorm from a distance, as long as the lightning doesn't get too close. Beautiful Perseids shot too.

Thanks for the comments guys. I think you are right about the CW rotation, Drew. I've tried the last three years for a perseid shot, and this was the first one I've captured that was actually worth keeping. Watching the storm move in was pretty intense, the skies were clear and blue about 20 minutes before I took that shot. The thunder echoing between the mountains sounded pretty awesome too.

Jon, that first one is actually North Clear Creek Falls. I gotta say, I've shot that thing so many times, but I've NEVER gotten killer storm clouds like you got. That...is...AWESOME! I agree a little CW turn would help it, but that's it. The elks shot is a great behavioral example, too.

Great shots Jon. I love the Perseids image and Clear Creek Falls is exceptional.

Thanks for the clarification Todd, I went to so many places I've never been and didn't write down where I went.
