Does My Bum Look Big In This
A Female Wheatear from a few weeks ago, I liked the way she turned her head and gave a different pose from the norm, showing the back detail

Canon 1DMK4, Canon 500f4L + 1.4 convertor, ISO 800, f10, 1/400

Looks perfect to me on my monitor Karen.

Sharpening is a real problem for me at the moment, I'm having difficulty knowing how much to sharpen my images, so if this turns out to be over sharpened, then I'm in trouble cos I've got loads waiting to upload that definitely must be over sharpened in that case

Great shot, love the pose and background.

Geoff.

Thanks guys I think its ok to, to be honest have looked at it again and think it would look to soft if I took the sharpening down but we do all see things differently so I do appreciate all the feedback good or bad always gives me something to think about

Hi Karen.
That's a nice image, sharpness? i'm with Geoff i look at some images and they do look harsh and as we know the feathers on a bird such as this do look soft particularly when a bird is relaxed as this one is ,the wing and the tail look spot on but i don't know about the head that said monitor and my old eyes could be wrong  still a lovely image.
:toast: Keith.

Perhaps it just needed a little selective sharpening, that way it can be done at different levels, I have only just started using lightroon and found that rather handy.

Otherwise, the image looks pretty good and the BG works really well.

Looks pretty good to me (as usual). I don't think its over sharp. The 1D4 does seem to bring out more detail - maybe thats it?
