I'm afraid I've over sharpened this image. But I still think its worth sharing. If you look, there are so many different angles presented, and as the moon was setting, I was rushing to just try and capture the image. It was taken while climbing the cinder cone at Lassen. All comments appreciated. Best Regards.
Michael. very well named and captured too. I do like the mixture of perspectives and would love to have seen the moon apart from the distant mountain top, but it surely does not detract from the scene at all IMO. Sharpening looks OK to me, but I just started to look here on line and my eyes may not be tuned in just right yet.

I do like the diagonal lines and the quality of the light. The placement of
the moon is neat too.

Sharpening looks fine from here, no artifacts in the sky and dark areas. I bet you had fun walking up that crater! Gnarly place up there.
Steve,
Fun isn't exactly the word that comes to mind climbing up that cone... work does come to mind. But it was totally worth it. I was scrambling to get my tripod and gear set up as the sun was coming up and the moon going down. And then of course repositioning to try and find just the right angle. Thanks for your help on the sharpening issue. Best Regards.
